Arrival - Sunday afternoon August 19th, 2018

Departure - Wednesday August 22nd, 2018

Longmire & Cougar Rock Campground are accessible from the southwest entrance of the park, via State Route 706 out of the little town of Elbe.


We have reserved two Group sites, F4 & F5. We will headquarter for worship, meals & activities at

Group Site F-4. 




Group sites are open to tent campers only. Tenters and RVers (no hook-ups) may reserve their own sites elsewhere in the campground, and you must make your own reservations! Loop E is closest to the Group Sites, Loop D is also close. Individual sites may be reserved through on or after Monday, Feb. 20 . Website for RV and Individual site reservations 




As this is a family event, we ask that no alcohol be consumed at the Group sites, F4 & F5.




Third & Sixth Hours, short talk, 8:00 a.m.

Breakfast follows Hours

Hike departure 10-10:30 a.m.

Lunch (whenever you like)

Vespers 6:00 p.m.

Dinner Follows Vespers

Campfire 8:15 p.m. (Sunset)




Equipment needed: rucksack for lunch, water bottle, sturdy shoes, socks & hat.




Visit Paradise: Visitor center with activities for kids, wildflower walks; beautiful retro re-build of the original 1916 lodge, places to relax, snack bar with ice cream, etc.


Visit Longmire: Trail of the Shadows (flat, .7 mile); camp store with ice cream, etc.




$6.00 per person/per meal

(no charge for children 4 and under)

*Disclaimer: The food provided on this trip is typical of Costco products. No provision for any other food will be provided. If you have dietary concerns, you must bring and cook your own food on your own stove.


All meals will be provided. Crews will be assigned for meals preparation & cleanup, sack lunches will be provided, and you may do whatever you wish during the day. We will offer two group hikes, one more strenuous, one less, each day. Evenings will include campfires, so bring your instruments!


Cancellations after August 15th forfeit all fees.

The Park Entrance Fee is $15.00 for a private, non-commercial vehicle with a seating capacity of 15 or less, and provides the visitor with a 7-day entrance permit for Mount Rainier National Park. This fee is collected at the park entrance, do not include it in your remittance to Holy Resurrection


A Senior Pass (62 & older) is available from the National Park Service. It offers free lifetime admissions to the parks, and half off personal (not group) camping sites. The pass may be purchased at a Ranger Station in the Park as well.




To insure the safety of our campers, we have developed some camp rules and guidelines that we ask our campers to follow, they may be found here.


A roster of work details will be posted. Campers are asked to help prepare, serve and clean-up after meals. Specific instructions for each meal will be posted in advance. Copies of work details will be emailed to camp participants prior to August 19.
