The Diocese of the West is the geographical district of the Orthodox Church of America consisting of the western United States. Currently the diocese has active parishes in Montana, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, California and Hawaii. The Orthodox Christian Prison Ministry (OCPM), the official prison ministry of the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States of America, was formed with the mission to bring the love of Christ to those who are in prison by providing encouragement, material support, transition and reintegration services, Christian education, spiritual guidance and the sacramental life of the Church.


ZOE for Life! is a pan-Orthodox outreach of Orthodox Christians, endorsed by the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops in the United States of America, that serves as a conduit—guiding women to a wider range of support organizations, providing them with a more attractive set of options and hopefully a more promising outlook on their situation. There is counseling, housing assistance, medical assistance, prenatal care, adoption and other services available that are usually unknown to most women in crisis pregnancies. It is ZOE's goal to offer more options to women in distress to empower them to make life saving decisions for their babies as well as themselves.


FOCUS North America is a national movement of Orthodox Christians, united in faith and joined by a desire to provide action-oriented and sustainable solutions to poverty in communities across America. FOCUS has operations and youth volunteer experiences in more than 50 cities in the United States. As an expression of Christ’s love FOCUS North America serves the hungry, thirsty, stranger, naked, sick and imprisoned by providing Food, Occupation, Clothing, Understanding, and Shelter.


The Society for Orthodox Christian History in the Americas (SOCHA) exists to promote the study of the history of the Orthodox Christian Church in the New World; to collect source materials and make them available to researchers and scholars; to disseminate historical information to the public; and to encourage networking among those engaged in the study of American Orthodox history.
